ABOUT THE FOLIO STUDIO

I’m the woman behind the tutorials, the templates, and the very opinionated takes on why your Notion dashboard should actually be pretty.

The Folio Studio exists because therapists in private practice deserve access to the same tools, systems, and design knowledge that everyone else is being charged a premium to learn, without the guilt trip, the upsell, or the three-part webinar that could’ve been a blog post without saying to buy their product.

My Mission:

To make tech tools & deign resources genuinely accessible for therapists in private practice; for free, on purpose, without gatekeeping.

My Vision:

A world where running your private practice doesn’t require a second degree in web design or a Google Workspace support group. (Although, honesty? I’d join that group)

THE BIGGER PICTURE

It’s about empowering small business owners like you.

I wanted to create something for therapists who are exhausted from choosing between two bad options: spending hours figuring it all out yourself or spending thousands hiring someone else to do it.

There had to be a better way. So, I built one.

Something that was:

  • Accessible — free resources, no paywall, no required purchase to get real value
  • Practical — built for how therapists actually work, not how someone thinks they work
  • Honest — no manufactured urgency, no fake scarcity, no "buy this course to learn what Google already knows"
  • Actually useable — not just pretty. Functional AND pretty. Yes, both. Always both.

Professionally designed, ready to customize and actually affordable, paired with tutorials that walk you through every step so you’ve never left staring at a blank screen wondering what you did wrong.

No tech rage. No stress-spiral at midnight. No “maybe I should just hire someone” guilt.

Just tools that work, built y someone who gets it.

MEET AMBER

CEO & Data-Meets-Design-Enthusiast

Hi, I’m Amber. I’m a healthcare exec, licensed therapist, spreadsheet lover, dog mom, a dual-masters (MBA-HCAD & MSW if that matters to you) and the person who will absolutely spend two hours making a Notion dashboard look good and function beautifully. Because why choose? I’m always the one in my healthcare gig helping my colleagues learn the tech we are using and then making it pretty.

After 20+ years in healthcare, 6 of them building and running my own private practice, I kept running into the same wall: the tech side of running a practice was either overwhelming, overpriced, or both. And nobody was making it easier without trying to sell you something.

So, I did what any self-respecting therapy nerd would do. I started building my own systems, designing my own templates and eventually realized other therapists needed this stuff too.

The Folio Studio launched because I couldn’t find the resource I was looking for, so, I became it.

When I’m not deep in a Canva file or color-coding a spreadsheet nobody asked me to color-code, you can find me somewhere outdoors with my dog.
